Salahuddin ayyubi

830 years ago Salahuddin retook the city of Jerusalem. This moment is an incredible example for all the humanity. When crusaders took the city in 1099 they massacred 10,000 muslims.

The slaughter was so great that men waded in blood upto their ankles. (Gesta francorum)

However 88 years later when Salahuddin retook the city he refused to take revenge.
During his reign he forbade harming or plundering any Christians. He even let them (Christians) worship in their churchs and guarded the churchs. He permitted them to return to pilgrimage. He provided them a safe passage. When carts full of golds and goods were taken from the city by Christians he over ruled his advisors and provided the Christians escort.

"We must apply what we signed, so that none will be able to accuse the believers of violating their treaties Christians everywhere will remember the kindness we have bestowed upon them"(Salahuddin ayyubi)

Salahuddin's mercy, justice and wisdom came from his faith and duty to ALLAH.

Today we remembered him.
