Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju finally hit the screens on Friday (June 29), and is expected to set new box office records.

The Sanjay Dutt biopic has been directed by Rajkumar Hirani, whose films like PK and 3 Idiots have emerged as blockbusters at the box office. Even ahead of its release, Sanju created quite a buzz.

According to trade experts, Sanju is expected to make between Rs 27-Rs 30 crore on its first day. In addition, Ranbir's ardent fans are expected to flood the theatres.

This footfall will help the film rake in Rs 100 crore in just 3 days, not unlike Salman Khan's Race 3.This is quite commendable, considering th film did not release on any festive holiday.

Sanju might prove to be the much-needed relief for Ranbir, who was in desperate need of a hit, as many of his previous films have been flopping at the box office.
