About me and how I end up here, part 1steemCreated with Sketch.

in #satoshi6 years ago (edited)

I am born and grown up in the woods of north Sweden, but left the country and my previous work as an IT technician about one year ago because I wanted to go explore the world.

Everything started with a dream of hiking in the Himalayas. And as I am born in the woods I like adventures in the nature. Just go somewhere, put up a tent and feel the peace of nature.

I was talking about my dream with my friends and one of them, Fredrik, he felt like me and we instantly started to plan and prepare for our trip, before the idea fades away. Both of us went to our families, then our bosses and colleagues to tell them about our plan. Now there was no turning back.

Two months later both of us was resigned and had our plane tickets to India.

We started in Goa, a small state in west India with beautiful beaches and delicious foods. We went there to relax on the beach for a few weeks and meet more travelers like us. We met many of them but there was this very nice guy from Netherlands called Ben, who always walked around with his Ukulele and spread good energy. He was also was going to the Himalayas. So me and Fredrik decided follow the good vibe. We asked Ben if we could join him. And from here our journey took off.

We went by bus from Goa all the way up to the state Himachal Pradesh in south Himalaya where we visited Manali, Parvati Valley and Dharamkot and then we decided to go north to the state Kashmir where we went to Srinagar. From all these places you have amazing tracks to discover. Here are some pictures from our travel:

Gypsys living in the mountains of Srinagar. Nice people, we hide there for the rain and they gave us some tea while we waited.

And the shepherds with their herds

Our journey was an amazing experience as we saw both good and sad things on the way. This gave me a different perspective of life, and made me decide not to go back to Sweden. I wanted to try to make a living out of something else...

The next chapter will be about my relocation to Cambodia and how I met Mr. Skorek, the creator of Satoshi School.
