Bournemouth to quarterfinals of EFP Cup

Bournemouth is in great form this season in the league and they continued their good form in EFL cup. Today at the pre-quarterfinal fixture against Norwich, Bournemouth defeated Norwich city to book the spot in the quarterfinal of the EFL Cup. Bournemouth became the first team to reach quarterfinal this season.

For Bournemouth, Stanislas scored the first goal in the 39th minute to provide the lead. The first half ended in 1-0 for Bournemouth. Later, Hernández got the equalizer for Norwich in the 70th minute. But Bournemouth got ahead again 2 minutes as Cook scored the winner at the 72nd minute.

In other game in EFL Cup today, Burton Albion defeated Nottingham Forest by 3-2 to enter into the quarterfinal. The other fixture today was between Leicester City vs Southampton and it was postponed following helicopter crash last Saturday.

    Heading into the business end of the tournament and some big names still in it, I wonder who will be the first team to pick up the first bit of silverware this year
