Let's be honest it is the most obsolete game of the tournament! Both sides are disappointed due to not reaching the final! In this case, the blow for England will have been bigger than for Belgium!
England got ahead against Croatia, while Belgium never had a chance! We have to be honest! This games are always decided based on the motivation of the two teams! For Belgium it is a chance to improve their best result ever on a world cup and be remembered for ages!
For England reaching the Final was a better result than everybody would have expected before the tournament started!
History
If we take a look at the history of the matches for the third place of a world cup, we can get some valuable information!
Over/Under
As you can see we have to go back to 1978 where a third place match did end with an under 2.5 goals! 90% of the last 11 third place matches did end with an over 2.5 goals! So there we do have bet 1.
Both teams to score
Only 3 of the last 11 third places matches did result in one of the two teams, who weren't able to find the net! During England vs Belgium, we have two players more or less battling it out to become the top scorer of the World Cup! Both teams will be able to play without pressure, so I do predict lots of chances for both teams to score. So yes, both teams to score will be bet number 2!
Who will win?
Only one of the last 11 third place matches did end in a tie and I did read a lot of betting tips, we are predicting a draw! Well I will not. Belgium will win this game! No doubt about it! It is not that they are better, but the are more motivated than England and some of the players will probably announce their Red Devils retirement!
Also the blow England got by not reaching the final is bigger than the one Belgium received!
I will go for Belgium -0.5, because the odds are better than the ML win for Belgium!

Good luck on the over. It's a well known angle and I was watching the market when the odds were released to hit it but they dissapointed and were hit hard early on. I'm hoping for a boring start so I can get in aswel on it.
