Removing SBD makes it harder for smaller accounts to power up. I tried to convert some SBD the other day to Steem on the currency market it wouldn't allow it tried multiple times to convert

I don't see how removing SBD makes it harder to power up. We power up with Steem. If we have SBD we first need to change it to Steem in order to power up with it. No SBD means the need to change SBD to Steem will no longer take place. Your second sentence is a perfect example of a step in the process of powering up that isn't needed. Simplifying things is the best option for mass adaption imo.

I can't argue with that. Now that I ponder more deeply on this matter I'm realizing it's simpler the new way. Less taxing on the block chain too.

No SBD is temporary so the payout hasn't changed just self adjusted. Its better explained in the below post.
