[Interesting acquaintance] Children of the May Bug [💰↻70%]
Today I planted strawberries on the flowerbed and dug out a few grubs!
Only last year I was surprised to learn that the young May bugs look like this!
Very unusual creatures, and since I do not want they live with the roots of strawberries in the neighbourhood, I decided to arrange a small photo session for them when moving out of the site)
The first thing that was at hand - a scarlet bush! Here is such a great scarlet :))
And whether the scarlet had not to taste, then, if sharp spikes pricked the bump, but the grub did not linger on it for a long time and collapsed down ... There was no wet spot on the site of the fall, so apparently it wasn't hurt
On the toadstools, it posed calmer and more confident, and despite the fall, it even tried to smile))
In general, this is a terrible enemy of gardeners, since grub very much like to eat up the roots of the following plants:
Strawberry;
strawberries;
potatoes;
corn;
Birch;
larch;
Pine;
cedar;
spruce;
lawn grass.
But in the absence of something from listed above they will not disdain to taste the rest.
The grub of the May bug develops in the soil during three years, causing more and more damage to the roots of plants every year.
In the third year of development, the grub can have a size from 4 to 6 cm
Cudding before moving)
And this little bit different - with a black back...
Forgot to make selfie)))
