Worshipping God Rightly

There are many churches around the world now and there are many pastors or men of God who claimed to have a specific call of God upon their life. Counting the number of denominations we have around the world would be a tedious and a tiring work to do becuase there are so much churches that have been established.

It is not about the number of churches we have that matters but the number of genuine Christian who are committed to God that matters. From all indications, we are in the last days and believers of God needs to be mindful and vigilant.

A lot of doctrines are now thought many denominations and it is sometimes hard to tell whonis telling the truth or doing things in the right direction.

Many things that are happening today have happened before of have been predicted to happen in these last days and so we shouldn't be surprised when we see them. False teachers will continue to be on the rise and shall deceive many with their false and erroneous doctrines that lead many astray.

Jesus in one of his teaching showed us the right way to worship God:

Yet the time is coming, and is now here, when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. Indeed, the Father is looking for people like that to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:23-24

The times he spoke about is the time we are in now. A time where we must be led by the spirit and the word not just what a man of God says. Worshipping God in spirit and in truth simply means being led by the spirit of God and the word of God to know and to do what pleases God.

We will accept any teachings as right If we are led by God's spirit and His word. The Holy Spirit and the word are the two most important things in our days now that show us to right way of worshipping God.

The Samrithan woman whose story is found in the above scripture had relied on the teachings of fathers, their customs and culture. She had wrong perception about worship and prayer until she had an encounter with Jesus(the word).

Jesus was able to explain to her that is not just about where one worship or pray that matters For a person to know how to worship God truly he or she needs to be led by God's spirit and His word.
