Being an Ambassador for Christ

2 Timothy 2:21; If a man therefore purge himself form these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.

Our God is not a partial God, however he does not use just anyone for his work. The shepherd knows his sheep and the sheep knows him. Before God will send you on a mission, or give you a commission to fulfil, you must be a Child of God. God does not use people who do not believe in him to do his work. Before God used Saul to drive the mission and the spread of the gospel he had to be converted, he had to become a child of God and he had to be sanctified. It is one of the steps required in becoming a child of God, confession of sins, forgiveness of sins, sanctification, baptism and confirmation.

So if any man seeks to work for drive of the mission and the spread of the gospel, according to our verse for today he or she has to purge himself of all things unclean and unholy in the sight of God, and must be willing to give himself wholeheartedly to the cause. It is after doing this that one can have true access to the power available to the sons and daughters of God. Today, I admonish all parishioners to seek to be a true vessel for the ministry and the spread of God’s words. Commit fully and wholehearted to the work and the good lord will never let your toil be in vain. Have a blessed day even as you continue to spread the gospel and be and Ambassador for Christ.
