INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP

At the beginning of the Christian era, the new believers accepted the message of the cross but, like us, the transition was also difficult.

According to the biblical verse that is in the book of the Facts it says: Because it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us (...) Acts15: 28a (VRV'60)

There are two wills that agree, according to what we read in the biblical portion. "Because it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us ..." He makes it clear that he is a person and not "something"; this is important.

Because it is important? Because it lets us see that the Holy Spirit has assumed the attributes of a human personality. It is equivalent to saying that we can relate to Him.

We have recently celebrated Pentecost, (Leviticus 23: 15-16, Deuteronomy 16: 9) and marks the beginning of the early church, the fulfillment of the promise that another Comforter would come (John 15:26) narrated in Acts 2 the arrival Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit has the attributes of a personality, and these attributes are the basis for all communion and / or relationship that we seek to have with Him. We have been given the senses to have communication with all that is matter and it is difficult to reason have a relationship with something invisible, intangible but, understanding that it takes personality attributes is like relating to our wife, husband; and to understand this is so important that it takes vital meaning (Do not get drunk with wine, in which there is dissolution, but be filled with the Spirit Ephesians 5:18)

The apostle John reveals to us that God is Spirit and we must worship him in spirit (John 4:24) Therefore everything that has relation with God is in the spirit. When we know our wife well, we do not need, many times, to ask what she thinks; With a simple look we can get to know it. We have traveled with her or him long enough to learn his personality and response to different situations.

And the secret to relate to the Holy Spirit is in the bible: But you, when you pray, enter your room, and close the door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you in public. Matthew 6: 6 (VRV'60)

The word "aposento" was formerly used to describe a secret place where the most valuable possessions could be hidden. In a certain sense, the word describes something similar to a safe in the bank.

However, already in the New Testament, it was used to describe a room where the husband and wife have privacy. Equivalent to say that it must be a place of special intimacy. When we go to pray, it must be a place where there are no interruptions, so that the Holy Spirit can speak to our hearts and we can undress our hearts before Him; a sweet fusion between the human spirit and the divine Spirit. The point is that we must have a time and a place where we give ourselves completely to have fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

We always take time for what is important. If we really want to know and have an intimate and personal relationship with the Holy Spirit, we will take time for it.

It must be a priority, a matter of decision.

But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I have said to you. John 14:26 (NKJV)
