Atheist Dissatisfied

I just read a book that recounts the transformation and its reasons for a well-known atheist philosopher to the conviction that there must be a personal God who has designed and produced life as we know it.

After 70 years of atheism, 50 of them in an active atheism, several philosophical books with their proofs, and despite the terrible criticism of former colleagues, publicly, first in video and then in this book, he has retracted and shows the proofs and scientific arguments that have led him to this change, following his motto "go where the evidence takes me".

The honesty, seriousness and strength of his arguments make the book a pleasant, deep and necessary reading for atheists and theists.

To me personally, it leads me to make several considerations:

First, although the author has not yet reached a conversion to Christ (he confesses deist, not convinced of any revelation, although he is in contact with Christians and sees Christianity superior to other religions), it does show that it does not matter how much that one can get away from God, the return is always possible.

Second, if he has recognized his mistakes with more than eighty years, in addition to his display of courage and honesty, he teaches us that it is never too late. Whoever you are or in the person you are thinking about, it is hoped that the tests of reason, the seed of faith and / or the strength of the testimony of others will convince the hardest atheist.

Third, the philosophical and scientific reasons are not always definitive. Giving time to time is a good way to analyze ideas, particularly spiritual ones.

History teaches us that the most reasonable of logics, the most scientific theory and the most fundamental of philosophies, has at its root the possibility of modification and error and therefore in each of us the need to recognize and change, but the revealed Word of God remains forever.

Fourth, it is always necessary to know the two sides of any matter to judge with fair judgment. No one has all the answers, just as no one asks all the questions, but in Christianity you may find the answers to some of the questions, just ask us.

Fifth, how necessary it is to reach the truth of things! And for this it is equally necessary to follow the argument to where it leads, with sincerity and without fear and when it is reached, dress and fit us with it.

Sixth and last consideration. We must defend our reasons with all our strength but without offense or grievances, expose our ideas to everyone who wants to hear or know. That's why, these pages.

We firmly believe that all the needs of the human being are important and we must strive to satisfy those that are just and worthy. Why not start with the most important ones? The spiritual ones.
