ALL IS JESUS

in #sc-v5 years ago (edited)

When we see the Bible, we can notice patterns that repeat themselves. There are four Gospels, four ways of seeing Jesus; and there are four times in the Bible where a word appears, which in the English version is behold or look. If we believe that the New Testament is the fulfillment of what the Lord was saying with the prophets, and that Jesus is the Messiah that the prophets had said -Emmanuel, God with us - if we believe that when the prophet Isaiah said that a child is born, son is given to us and the principality on his shoulders, we are not expecting him to be another, we understand that he is talking about Jesus; in that description we see everything he did, what he spoke, what he accomplished. And so, through the prophecies of the Bible, we can observe constant references where they point to the person of Jesus. It is easy for us to look at it, but not for everyone; and that is why not everyone experiences the transformation that they must experience.

"9 Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion; shout for joy, daughter of Jerusalem; behold, your king will come to you, righteous and savior, humble, and riding on an ass, on a colt, the foal of an ass. "Zechariah 9: 9

That rejoice in English is the word behold, which would be look. And who fulfilled that promise? Who entered a donkey? Jesus. Jesus has been fulfilling all the prophecies.

"Behold, my servant, I will sustain him; my chosen one, in whom my soul has contentment; I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring justice to the nations. "Isaiah 42: 1

That is here in English is also the word behold. The prophets wanted the people to see, to know the characteristics of what they would see, so that they would recognize it. But Jesus arrived and they did not recognize him because he did not look anything like what they expected. Therefore, when he stops in front of Jerusalem, he begins to cry, and says: Because they lost the day of their visitation; They did not recognize me; They did not realize who I was.

"12 And you shall speak to him, saying, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts, saying,' Behold, the man whose name is the Branch, which shall spring up from their roots, and shall build the temple of the Lord. '" Zechariah 6:12

That behold is also behold. He talked about building the temple; not the physical, but the spirit; that we would be the temple of the Spirit, that he would dwell within us.

"9 Go up on a high mountain, the sherald of Zion; Lift up your voice loudly, announcer of Jerusalem; lift it, do not fear; Say to the cities of Judah: See here your God! "Isaiah 40: 9

That ved here in the original is behold. The prophets used to use descriptions all the time so that the people could look.

In Ezekiel 1: 5-20, the prophet describes what he saw, and speaks of four faces, four beings; the scholars agree that they symbolized who Jesus was. One had the face of a lion; and he is the Lion of Judah. Through the prophecies, the Messiah was to come, because the prophets wanted the people to see it. The problem was that they saw it and they did not recognize it.

"18 Therefore, we all, looking bare-faced as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed from glory to glory in the same image, as by the Spirit of the Lord." 2 Corinthians 3:18

When man sins, what he loses is the image, the projection; He no longer looks like God. And, when you want a person to change in your life, what you need to recover is the image; have an image before you, that models what they should be. Paul said: If we look face to face to the Lord and see that image, we are going to be transformed. When you see him face to face, when you see who he is, when you know who he is, when you can look at him, then you transform because you want to conform to that image.

Why is it so important to know Jesus? Anyone can know about Jesus, but knowing him and being able to see him face to face in each of his expressions is what transforms you. It is a wonderful contrast to know that he was a king, but one that came to serve. Because the kings of the world take over men, but the King that you have, had all authority, but with a heart of service; He was not a slave to anyone, but he was a servant. It is wonderful when we can know that he was the Son of God, and was the Son of Man; we can look at his humanity, see that he slept, ate, wept, had constant human expressions and, in spite of his humanity, he was still the Son of God; He walked with authority on this earth. When you can see this, when you see him face to face, then you transform yourself to everything God wants you to be.

The original form of man is to be like God in his image and likeness, that is why Christ died so that through his blood we could have communion with the father to cleanse us of all spiritual contamination that this world produces.

Colossians 3 New International Version (NIV)
Rules for a holy life

3 Since you have been raised with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2 Concentrate your attention on the things above, not on the things of the earth, 3 for you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your life, [a] appears, then you too will be manifested with him in glory.

5 Therefore, put to death all that is proper to earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, low passions, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6 For these things comes the punishment of God. [B] 7 You practiced them in another time, when you lived in them. 8 But now also abandon all this: anger, anger, malice, slander and obscene language. 9 Stop lying to each other, now that you have removed the garment of the old nature with your vices, 10 and have put on the new nature, which is renewed in knowledge in the image of its creator.

To know face to face the Lord is an experience that every Christian should desire, and that will allow him to have more intimacy with the father, and to know him in such a way that he will begin to reflect the love of Christ in his daily life.

Very good message @darlenys01 Jesus is the one that we are looking up to.

some have Jesus as a historical character, but he does not understand that he lives and they have not been able to have a special relationship with him.
