Dear brothers of the block chain:

To you who belong to the special people of God, and who continue to believe in Jesus Christ and live very close to him, I send you my regards.

Introduction

In the book of Joshua, chapter 7: 6-15, we find that when the men of Israel returned defeated from Ai, Joshua needed some answers and immediately resorted to prayer. He broke his mourning clothes and prostrated himself on the ground on his face, in total humiliation before the ark of the covenant, until sunset. All the elders accompanied him as he cried out to God: "Ah, Lord, Lord, why have you brought this people to the Jordan to give us into the hands of the Amorites, so that they may destroy us?" (Joshua 7: 7)

Joshua asked the wrong question.

Certainly, Josue formulated the question incorrectly, and it is the same thing that many of us do each time an unexpected problem occurs. Our first impulse is to ask why or blame God for the tragedy or the problem that overwhelms us. We exclaimed: "Why me? What did I do to deserve this? Why did you let me get into this mess?" Although we all ask those questions, they are not the right ones. When the difficulty arises, we should ask the Lord a question: "What do you want me to learn in this situation?" We can express our pain or frustration, but the most important thing is that we surrender to Him and welcome His will with open arms. .

We may have to change a habit or correct a bad attitude.

Maybe we need to deal with some area of sin or some weakness or mediocrity. When Joshua finished expressing his frustration, God told him: "Get up, why are you so prostrate on your face?" Israel has sinned, and they have broken my covenant that I have ordained ... That is why the children of Israel will not be able to face their enemies "(Joshua 7: 10-12).

When we go to the Lord in prayer, we must be willing to listen to what He says.

Many times we do not stop to listen. We must learn to wait every time we make our requests, and so we can hear their response.

This is especially true when we pray after a failure or a defeat. It is also vitally important when we are tempted to blame God or get angry for our problems. We must be willing to accept your evaluation of our situation, which often includes the correction of any sinful behavior or attitude within us.

We must accept the will of God and proceed immediately to obey Him.

When the Lord has revealed to us what we should do, it is not necessary to say more. We must accept the will of God and proceed immediately to obey Him. Our obedience may include asking for forgiveness and help in obeying it in the future. You may also require us to make a refund or take specific actions that will help correct the error. In any case, our submission to your directive should be the immediate result.

Sort:

We must be willing to accept any circumstance and know that our trust in God is what gives us the victory at the end of the trials.

Amen, apostle. Blessings
