Greetings and blessings to all friends and brothers in Christ Jesus.

We have entered a new and challenging era in which the kingdom of darkness must be moved with the power of prayer so that many souls trapped in darkness pass into the kingdom of light under the glorious power of Christ Jesus.

It is urgently required to review and consider our level of prayer. It is required that there be a powerful spark of revival in the prayer of Christians to shake the kingdom of darkness. God has used consecrated Christians to bring thousands and millions closer to Jesus Christ. Now, what have been some of the characteristics of these men so used by God? In all cases they were men of faith, of purity, of prayer. There are many evangelists today and in the past. One of them said: "The prayers of some men would have to be cut at both ends and stoked with fire in the middle."

If I ask you now, what about your prayers? Do they have fire? Do they reach the ear of God? Do men's hearts move?

Let me briefly describe the type of prayer that God delights to answer. If you follow these principles, God will anoint your prayers with heavenly fire.

First, we must believe. Do you think God can and is willing to answer your prayers? "Of course you can do it," you say, "but I'm not sure He wants to answer them." In Hebrews 11: 6 we read: "Without faith, one cannot please God. He who wants to approach God must believe that he exists and rewards those who sincerely seek him."

Unbelief is a problem as serious as the lack of prayer. Many Christians do not believe that God will really give them what they ask. No wonder, then, that their prayers lack anointing and fire from above. The Bible clearly teaches that God answers prayers made with faith.

Second, we must ask. "If they don't have what they want, it's because they don't ask God" (James 4: 2). Do you remember the story of the blind man in the Gospel of Mark chapter 10? He longed to meet Jesus. When the meeting took place, Jesus asked him: "What do you want me to do for you?" Jesus wanted this man to ask him what he wanted. God yearns to pour out his blessings, we just have to ask him.

The blind man, then, was direct in his request. "Lord, I want to see." He did not turn around as we sometimes do. We try to convince and even force God with our long and detailed requests, and our explanations. What we need is to cut the whole conversation and be direct in what we ask. That is what fills our prayers with power and heavenly fire.

Third, we must confess sin. The psalmist wrote: "He would not have heard me if he had not confessed my sins" (Psalm 66:18). Sin drowns the flames of prayer. Sin I do not confess extinguishes more prayers than we imagine.

King Saul was distressed when at the end of his life he realized that God did not answer his prayers (1 Samuel 28: 6). Saul had allowed sin not confessed to build a wall between him and the Lord. Is there anything between you and God? If so, confess your sins and experience again in your life the renewal of God in action.

Many preachers and evangelists anointed by God began their evangelization campaigns urging God's people to pray. The fire of revival that we have seen and we are seeing in so many cities is not only lit by the preachers. It goes on with the prayers of Christians who believe in God, confess their sins and offer prayers to God that He delights to answer.

Brother in Christ, I urge you to do your part from this day and receive concrete answers from the Lord. Begin to pray the kind of prayer that He delights to answer.
