To see my glory

in #sc-v5 years ago

The high priest under the Old Testament, having done the sacrifices required on the day of propitiation, he entered holy place with his hands full of sweet incense smell, which he put on fire before the Lord. Thus, the great high priest of the Church, our Lord Jesus Christ, having offered himself for our sins, he entered heaven with the sweet aroma of his prayers for his people. Your wish eternal for the salvation of his people is evident in the verse quoted at the beginning: "Father ... I want ... to see my glory" (Jn.l7: 24). Joseph asked his brothers to tell their father about his glory in Egypt: "You shall therefore know my father all my glory in Egypt ..." (Gen.45: 13). This Joseph did, not to boast, but to give his father the joy of knowing about his high position in Egypt. So Christ wanted the disciples to see his glory, so that they would be satisfied and enjoy the fullness of this blessing forever.

Having known his love, the believer's heart always He will be restless until he sees the glory of Christ. Point culminating in all the requests that Christ makes in favor of his disciples (in this chapter 17) is to see his glory.
So I affirm that one of the greatest benefits for the believer, in this world and in the next, is the consideration of the glory of Christ. Since the beginning of Christianity, there has never been so much direct opposition to nature (divine and human) and the glory of Christ like the one that currently exists. It is the duty of all those who love the Lord Jesus bear witness (according to its capacity) of its unique nature and its glory. For the so much, I would like to strengthen the faith of true believers showing that seeing the glory of Christ is one of the experiences and one of the greatest possible privileges in this world and in the next. Now in this life when contemplating the glory of Christ, we are transformed in his likeness (see 2 Cor.3: 18). In the life to come, we will be like Him because we will see Him as He is (see 1 Jn.3: 2). East
knowledge of Christ is continuously, life and reward for our souls. He who has seen Christ, He has seen the Father; the light of the knowledge of the glory of God is seen only in the face of Jesus Christ (see Jn.l4: 9 and 2 Cor.4: 6).
There are two ways to see the glory of Christ: Now in this world through faith, and in heaven by sight for all the eternity. It is the second way to which Christ refers in his prayer (the prayer recorded in John 17). Christ asks that His disciples are with Him (in heaven) and they see His glory.
But a vision of his glory in this world through faith It is also implicit, and I explain the following reasons for the
which I emphasize this:

1.- In the life to come, no man will see the glory of Christ, a unless I have seen it by faith in this life. It's necessary that
be prepared for glory through grace, and that through faith we are prepared to see Christ with our sight Some people who do not have the true faith they imagine that they will see the glory of Christ in heaven, but they
They are cheating themselves. The apostles saw this glory, "glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and of truth "(Jn.l: 14) .This was not a worldly glory like the one that they own the kings or the pope. Although Christ created all things, Christ had no place to rest his head. There was no glory unusual or beautiful in his appearance as a man. Your face and their appearance were disfigured more than that of the children of the men (Isa.52: 14 and 53: 2). Nor could you see in this world the full manifestation of the glory of his nature divine So how did the apostles see their glory? The
they saw through the spiritual understanding of faith. To see it as full of grace and truth, and seeing what he did and what he He spoke, "they received him and believed in his name" (Jn.l: 12). Those who did not possess this faith saw no glory in Christ.

2.- The glory of Christ is far beyond the reach of our present human understanding. We can not look directly to the sun without going blind and we can not with our natural eyes have no true vision of Christ in the sky; that glory can only be known through the faith. Those who speak or write about the immortality of the soul but who have no knowledge of the life of faith, they do not really know what they are talking about. There are those They also use images, crucifixes, idols and music, in a vain attempt to worship something that they imagine is like the glory of God.

This is because they have no spiritual understanding of the true glory of Christ. Only the understanding that comes to us through faith will give us a true idea of the glory of Christ and will create in us the desire to enjoy it fully in heaven.

3.- Therefore, if we wanted to have a more active faith and a greater love for Christ (which would give rest and satisfaction to our souls), we should seek to have a greater desire to see the glory of Christ in this life. This will result in the things of this world becoming less and less attractive, until they become dead and undesirable things. We should not expect to have a different experience in heaven than we have been looking for in this world; that is, we can not expect to see the glory of Christ in heaven if it has not been our eagerness on earth. If we were more persuaded of this, we would think more about heavenly things than we normally do.

WHEN you hear the word glory, what comes to mind? The splendor of creation? (Psalm 19: 1.) The praises that the richest, the most intelligent or those who have done extraordinary things receive? In the Bible, the Hebrew word for "glory" conveys the idea of weight. In the past, coins were made with precious metals and their value depended on their weight; the more they weighed, the more valuable they were. Therefore, the word translated "glory" was used to refer to something valuable, admirable or impressive.
