Walking with Jesus: Walk to the right

Christian community! Walking to the right is to have the right attitude at all times. So if I make fun of my colleagues at work, I'm probably not well.

If I have egocentric thoughts proud, shameless, in my heart, or if I am light in my relations with the opposite sex, then I am not right. If I speak with anger, I do not walk well again. The same thing if I do not respect my parents, because in all these situations, I do not have a right heart before God followed by the correct attitude that it entails.

I realized that we do not hear much about this principle. When you meet believers, there are many who will tell you that they have a pastoral call. Others will tell you that they want to evangelize the crowds. Next to you will find those who are more likely to criticize the ministries, or to discuss issues such as "paying the tithe" or not. I'm not saying that all this does not matter. But this shows in a lamentable way how much of what should have been one of the most outstanding points of our concerns, justice in our hearts, has been left aside for other issues that sometimes only aim to elevate man as it has been achieved . by tortuous hearts.

"... When Peter came to Antioch, I openly opposed him because he was wrong, because before the arrival of some people from around Jacques, he took part in the common meals with the brothers, not Jews, but after his arrival, he dodged and stepped aside because he feared these Jewish believers, and like him, other Christians of Jewish origin to hide their true convictions, to the point that Barnabas himself was carried away by his dissimulation, but When I saw that they were not walking in a straight line, according to the truth of the Gospel, I said to Peter in front of all the brothers: "You who are of Jewish origin live as believers of pagan origin, and not as Jews. How can they want to force the brothers of pagan origin to live as Jews? "Galatians 2.12-14

The apostle Paul evokes here one of his meetings with the Apostle Peter. While Peter and other brothers did not walk well, the apostle took them openly. We can very well be a leader and not walk directly in your heart. One can preach and the multitudes become without having to walk directly towards the heart. One can serve without having justice in one's heart. Unfortunately, this will go flying very fast, because our payer is only looking at our heart.

Walking to the right is walking with the right heart.

"When the apostles, staying in Jerusalem, learned that the Samaritans had accepted the Word of God, they delegated to Peter and John.

Upon their arrival, they prayed for new disciples to receive the Holy Spirit. In fact, he had not yet descended to any of them: they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Peter and John laid their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit. Simon saw that the Holy Spirit was given to the believers when the apostles laid their hands on them. So he offered them money and said: Give me also this power so that those to whom I lay my hands receive the Holy Spirit. But Peter replied: "Let your money perish, and you with it, since you have imagined that the gift of God could be obtained with money! You have no part or right in this matter, because your heart is not right before God. " Acts 8.14-21

To walk straight is to follow a straight path.

It is correct to talk about the interior rather than the exterior. Only when our heart is straight, the direction we will take, as with poppies, It will also be a straight direction. In what we do, we will have the right attitude and we will do every moment what God asks of us: with our parents, our friends, our families, our colleagues and even if this means setting aside our emotions to live according to the truth of the gospel.

John the Baptist said: "Make straight paths for him." Luke 3.4; and Isaiah says: "The way of the righteous is a straight path, you who are right, you trace the path that the righteous follow." Esaie 26.7

Walking in a straight line is to follow a straight path and without deviating: for ourselves, but also because we know that from above the Father looks at us and that we want to offer him the best of ourselves.
