WE ARE IN WAR

in #sc-v5 years ago

In previous days, I heard a Pastor say, that he who was not clear that he was in the middle of a spiritual war, lived in defeat constantly. It is important to know our enemy, to use the correct weapons against him. The word warns us:

"Practice self-control and stay alert. His enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. "
(1 Peter 5: 8 NIV)

Those who believe our enemies are people who, because of God's absence in their lives, are manipulated by satan, to make us fall, suffer, cry or fail. We do not know our enemy well, but he observes us all the time, knows what our weaknesses are and when he is not alert, his attack comes with more force, with the sole objective of topple us, kill us or destroy us.

It impresses me in a way, the scene of the movie "Mel Gibson's passion of Christ see link

" in which satan delights attentively with the torture of Jesus, because it is in that way, that He observes us when we make the decision to give in to our sinful desires, eliminate our relationship with Christ and finally suffer the consequences of those decisions.

The enemy, is present in such simple things as alcohol, drugs, fornication, divorce, war, fights, dissensions, jealousy, abuse, is what causes divisions and discord in the Church and all the evil that we perceive daily around the world, seduces us with success, vanity, power and easy money.

We are in a constant spiritual war, our enemy has a name, is called satan, devil, Lucifer, the father of lies, his main victory is to make us believe that he does not exist. His hatred towards you is real, he hates you because you know the truth, he hates you to death and will do everything in his power to see you defeated. It is strategic, powerful, attacks without mercy and is the king of the art of manipulation, does not surrender or rest and his army of demons is responsible for besieging you with the sole purpose of making you fall into disgrace.

"Put on the full armor of God so you can face the devil's trickery. Because our struggle is not against human beings, but against powers, against authorities, against powers that dominate this world of darkness, against evil spiritual forces in the celestial regions. " (Ephesians 6: 11-12 NIV)

Fortunately for all, Jesus already fought the battle for us and won on the cross. We are triumphant in Christ, if we are filled with the strength and authority that He has given us in His love. The devil exists in the world, because God allows it to glorify himself and shine with all his splendor once in the midst of our struggles, we trust and believe in his justice and his mercy, because when we recognize his work in us, our commitment to He will be even greater.

Christ is in you and me, and putting on his powerful armor will give us the faith to move forward. The problems you face today, that which is robbing you of peace, that enslaves you to a life of sadness, illness or worry, will not be able to separate you from true love, that love which, even in the midst of our constant failures, continues to grant us a vote of trust.

We will emerge triumphant, if we use the correct weapons, if with our eyes to heaven, we bend our knees with a sincere and repentant heart crying out to our father for forgiveness, renouncing evil, throwing out of our lives everything that separates us from Him, blessing to our friends and enemies alike, and studying the truth written in the Bible.

Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Tribulation, or anguish, persecution, hunger, destitution, danger, or violence? Thus it is written:

«For your sake they always lead us to death;

They treat us like sheep for the slaughterhouse! "

However, in all this we are more than conquerors through the one who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, nor the present nor the future, nor the powers, nor the height nor the depth, nor anything in all of creation, can separate us from love. that God has manifested us in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8: 35-39NVI)

@renew2018, indeed we are in a constant war, then, we do not fight against blood and flesh but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this century, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly regions (Ephesians 6:12 ), therefore you wear the armor of God to be able to resist.
Thanks for sharing.
Blessings.
