¡In honor of mothers!
Today I want to dedicate my post to all those women warriors who have had the happiness of being a mother, because today is May 10 celebrated in my country Venezuela this beautiful day.
Being a mom is something so beautiful and sublime that it has no comparison. Throughout life we have seen what a mother is capable of doing for her children and we do not see that only on a human level but also an animal one I believe that when God granted this sublime role he also did it through the animal world to highlight the importance, love and what a mother can do to defend and care for her children.
Something that impressed me at the level of the animal world was a video that I had the opportunity to look at about a brave cheetah mom
that gives an awesome lesson to a leopard to defend its puppies
Photographer Paul Goldstein has captured the moment when a brave cheetah mother defends her cubs from the clutches of a leopard in Masai Mara, Kenya. The video was recorded by one of his colleagues. "This is something I can hardly believe," said the author of the images. Cheetahs are the fastest terrestrial animals in the world, being able to reach speeds of 115 km / h. They can take up to four strides in a second. With each stride they advance a little more than 7 meters.
In social networks has begun to circulate a really impressive image. He managed to win a prize, but his story led the photographer to depression.
It turns out that a group of cheetahs began to follow a stag mother with their two young, but in the end the felines ended the life of the female, while the babies managed to escape.
According to the photographer, the mother could easily have escaped from the cheetahs, but preferred to remain as a bait for them, so that their little deer could flee while the killing occurred.
This is great, because even in the animal kingdom "mama" is incredible to die if possible to save her children.
This is a representation of what the word mother means and what it is capable of doing for its children. Mother's love is unique and sublime.
In another order of ideas I would also like to highlight the story of a very virtuous woman, a wonderful woman who injected encouragement and security forces to fight for her son. A virtuous and heroic woman who saved her son from ruining his life. I certainly love this story.
One day Thomas Edison came home and gave his mother Nancy Elliot a note. He told her: • "My teacher gave me this note and told me to just give it to my mother." When she read, aloud, to her son the letter he brought her, her eyes were full of tears. She read: • "Your son is a genius, this school is too small for him and we do not have good teachers to teach him, please teach him". Many years later Edison's mother passed away, and he was one of the greatest inventors of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. One day he was ordering some old family things. Suddenly he saw a strange paper folded with a drawing on the desk. He took it and opened it. On the paper it was written: • "Your child is mentally ill and we can not allow him to come to school anymore." Edison cried for hours and I am overwhelmed. And once recovered, wrote in his diary: • "Thomas Alva Edison was a mentally ill child, but by a heroic mother could become the genius of the century." Impressive the reaction of his mother. True? Instead of reading what the letter actually said, and thus having been able to hurt his son, he gave it a complete turn and with that injected security and encouragement to his son.

I also want to highlight the example of one of the virtuous mothers we find in the Bible.
It is worth mentioning that a virtuous woman in the Bible describes her as a woman who fights, a woman who fights, who does not give up, who cheers and defends her children like a lioness.
For example in the book of proverbs specifically in the first chapters we read some advice of Bathsheba to his son where he advised: my son if the bad guys come to you, my son if the strange woman, my son if you accept my words ... the mother It marked the life of the future King Solomon, that when he asked for wisdom he did it because he learned it from his mother.
For that reason in chapter 31 of proverbs we read the words of Lemuel, of the sayings that his mother taught him, because virtuous mothers are an example for the future of their children.
Strong woman, who will find it? Because his esteem greatly exceeds that of precious stones.
Her husband's heart is trusting in her, And he will have no need of dispossession.
He will give her good and not bad, All the days of his life.
He sought wool and linen, and with a will he worked from his hands.
It was like a merchant ship: It brings its bread from afar.
He arose even at night, and gave food to his family, and ration to his servants.
He considered the inheritance, and bought it; And he planted a vineyard of the fruit of his hands.
He girded up his loins with strength, and strengthened his arms.
Also the role played by Jocabed the mother of Moses is praiseworthy and worthy of imitation. Jocabed lived in a world similar to ours, a carnal, contentious, cruel world ... but she refused to escape from that world and subject her son to that pagan lifestyle and took the wisdom, since her son depended on she. Remember that a mother and virtuous woman strives to do all she can for her children. And Jocabed saved her son by giving her to the best hands so that she would have education available but watched over by her, then she had the joy of being the mother of the man who brought her people out of slavery.
A mother is simply a virtuous woman. Being a mother is a very important role that the Lord chooses to give to many women. It is said that a Christian mother should love her children in part so that she does not reproach the Lord and the savior whose name it bears.
A virtuous mother in addition to caring for and watching over her children disciplines teaching them in the fear of God, pointing out their limits in a consistent, loving and firm way.
Mothers have a unique and crucially important role in the lives of their children. For this reason being a mother is a unique act of true love and devotion.
Certainly, mother's love is unconditional and unique in the world.
