Because here on earth there is no place that really is our home and where we can stay forever. All our desire is for the future city with Our Savior.
No matter how beautiful it is, we have a goal we want to achieve. Buildings, organizations, friends, church leaders, ministers, are all there for a limited time.
Sometimes there is simply a change, a new job, a new call, retirement and sometimes and the last trip begins, our goal is the desire of the future city, it will come true, we do not want to forget it on this day of celebration.
It is all temporal, every event, every cult, even every congregation. What we see today will be far outweighed in the beauty and glory of what is to come. It is "only" a reflection, even if it is close enough.
The "heavenly Jerusalem, the city of God", paradise, will surpass all that we know.
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us-ward.
Romans 8:18
Do not let anything or anyone stop you from conquering people for Jesus! Be brave, because God is with you!
Let nothing distract you from the goal.
Worship belongs to Him, the triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit! Now and always!
