Let's look at the goodness of God during bad times.

To seek the presence of God is to look for continuous changes in our life. When we seek him continuously as a priority goal we will attain true devotion.
This desire of David allows us to understand why "God carried him in his heart" and was someone so loved and blessed by Him.
It is difficult to imagine that David said "only one thing I ask of the Lord, and that is the only thing I pursue: to speak in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to contemplate the beauty of the Lord and to recreat myself in his temple"

Above all, David wanted to contemplate the splendor, the beauty, the holiness, the goodness and the glory of God, and to be close to Him always. Is not that also what we want?
Everything God is not only beautiful, but also good.

When you think of the goodness of the Lord, what do you think? perfection? purity? greatness? holiness? love? Grace? mercy? our mind can not understand it. We know that God is good, but we forget how good it is when something happens that makes us suffer, we often fail to remember that the Lord is good. We begin to have doubts and we ask ourselves: if God is good, why did he allow this to happen? We forget that God is good even when things go wrong.
David said, "You are my lord, besides you I do not possess any good" (Psalm 16.2). The Bible says: "prove and see that the Lord is good, blessed are those who take refuge in him".

Blessed are those who take refuge in the arms of God.

In difficult times we may doubt that God is very good, like his beauty, his goodness is greater than we can imagine: our mind can not comprehend the breadth and depth of his goodness.

But in difficult times you always remember that God extends his mercy to us. He will never leave us and even if we can not look at him, be convinced that he is by your side and carries your afflictions.
Remember his kindness that is forever.
