Know Our Nature: Barreleye Fish With Transparent Head

Thought of sharing things that exist in our nature which we all are not aware of.. There are many amazing things living around with us in this universe that we don't know yet.

Barreleye Fish
This is a beautiful Fish With Transparent Head. This is also called as Spook Fish. This has been found deep under 2000 feet and filmed and photographed in Pacific ocean of California Coast. It was first described in 1939
It a small fish with large fins. And the circled thing in the above image are the lenses of its eyes. It looks as though its covered with a transparent glass sheet. And the eyes allow the fish to see in a number of different directions
Its eyes are ultra sensitive and is filled with green fluid that has the capacity of capturing the tiniest bit of light at the great depths at which it lives.
The 2 things above its mouth are not eyes. They are olfactory organs of the fish similar to human nostrils.
They stay still in water and hunt its food using its awesome binocular vision like eyes.
