We're in a quantum computer simulation
This is a more "realistic" version of my post, Like The Sims, real life is coded by humans. If it might be interesting to you, here's Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3.
This article will make much more sense to you if you know a bit about how quantum mechanics works and the quantum computers' current stage of development.
Our true purpose
We’re a research project being ran in a quantum computer. The entities who created us are trying to find an answer for something. Their hardware’s current technology and software limitations allow us to perceive quantum mechanics.
Observable glitches like the double slit experiment’s wave pattern and quantum entanglement happen because of resource limitations or code algorithms not yet fully developed. The former is literally their algorithm being interpreted as we go. The latter is a bug caused by the “seed generation” of two objects unnecessarily converging.
Humans are the focus of the test. This is indicated by both Fermi’s paradox and the way we create things based on our needs or our reflections, such as most of the world’s scientific studies and our The Sims game franchise.

I have a passing familiarity with quantum mechanics. It's a fascinating subject that I should know more about definitely.
