Great White Sharks Super Powers Which Is Revealed By Genome

in #science5 years ago

Great white sharks are the largest predatory fish in the sea, which are weighed 3000 pounds (2268 kilograms) or more and these sharks can be 15 to 20 feet or more. Although they are not the largest sharks. This giant of the ocean is considered as a superhero which is live in the water. Because, they are huge and big, the lifetime of the Great White Sharks the same as the lifetime of people. They can quickly recover their wounds and cancer cannot infect them very much!

Researchers have long searched for surprises of White Shark for a long time. Finally, the researchers got a few possible answers to the characteristics of these sharks after the complete GNOME decoding. A group of researchers at the Shark Research Center and Ocean Foundation of Guy Harvey have worked with White Shark's genome sequence and compared them to other vertebrates. As a result, all the unknown and extraordinary information about the ancient giant of the sea has emerged as a result.

Great white shark genome has a 4.63 billion base pair, which is 1.5 times higher than the human genome! It is easy to guess but working on the genome sequence of these huge creatures was not an easy matter. The genome of this shark has another similarity with the human genome. That is, the genome of the Great White Shark is similar to that of the human genome and they are repeated by genetic formation. There is a special genes named LINEs in different parts of the genome and it made by this repeat genetic form. Which gave special capacities to the sharks. They can make their own copies and they make room for themselves in different parts of the genome. In this process, LINEs genes cause double-stranded type breakdown in DNA, and hence DNA repair is also needed. The genome is unstable due to being continuous erosion in DNA and there may also be a possibility of cancer with a serious risk like genetic mutation from here.

However, in White Shark, such a reaction cannot be seen. In an evolutionary way, they have been able to adapt to this abnormal genome.

As genome is responsible for the instability of the genome, there are also other genes in the genome of these sharks. These genes work again to maintain genetic stability. Among them, genes preventing genes from DNA repair and preventing tumor. The genome stabilization of the genotype of other vertebrate creates the difference between the genotype stabilization of these specific samples or genes, which gave these sharks extraordinary ability in evolutionary patterns. One of the reasons why these sharks are less likely to be less susceptible to cancer than any other animal is probably due to these special genes. According to researchers, to avoid the risk of cancer, such stability is important in your genome, that is, the ability to avoid any kind of genetic mutation. Excessive genetic mutation pushes cancer in the face since these sharks can prevent it, So they easily have the ability to prevent this cancer. Needless to say that the future invention of cancer research will create new possibilities. Researchers claim that it doesn't need to eat some from the sharks, to preventing human cancer, but it can play a role in making alternative medicine.

The great ability to heal faster wounds is another superpower of this white sharks. Certain genes have played a role in this capacity too, which simultaneously works to repair the wounds and maintain stability in their genome. In addition to these genes in the genome of other vertebrates, the genes of these sharks are very high in these genes. For the survival of the environment in evolution, the presence of sharks in the genome is noticeable, which is relatively less among other vertebrate animals.

Researchers have found the role of certain genes of the genome as the backbone of all shark characteristics. However, the researchers have not yet found enough information in the GNOME Sequence to explain a feature.

You know! Shark smell is superb. It's conventional that, they get scratches of blood drops from almost a mile away! Even though it is completely true to the public but it not true at all. Researchers hoped that their genome will be found in the olfactory receptor or OR genes to explain the scent energy. However, the number of genes in these sharks is not surprisingly much the same. However, researchers have found a type of gene called Vomeronasal, which can be thought of to play behind their extraordinary scent of energy.

Recent information from this study is not only the genome research of this white monster but also plays a vital role in other animals. However, researchers acknowledge that more research is needed and this genome sequence has started answering the question of the tremendous power of sharks.

Sadly, while fighting with nature, these white sharks have great power in the aftermath of evolution, but they are decreasing in number every year. Almost 100 million sharks are hunted every year, among these include the great giant in the sea, which is known as the Great White Shark. One of the reasons for shark hunting is to collect sharks for making shark soup, fake medical studies, and other reasons. Many times, sharks are released in the face of death after collecting the fan, which is very inhuman.

These sharks are shown to be very violent and dangerous for humans in various movies and TV series. It is true that people who kill sharks every year, sharks do not kill people even near that number. Even if it is able to survive in the fight against nature, it is almost impossible to survive against the violence of the people of this world. Unless people are able to understand themselves that these animals are so important for the environment. Researchers are also expecting that the results of their research may help people to understand this important fact. It can be expected that before people are too late, people can quickly understand that this is unbelievably true.
