Today i had quite a hectic day at work as two different experiments were conducted.

  • A molecular identification of an organism after phenotypic confirmations.

  • Studying and culturing of Staphulylococcus aureus on Oxacilin agar, to determine which Staph. isolate is resistant and which are sensitive.

[ Using molecular techniques which i will explain in detail during the weekend, the organism was confirmed to be Arcobacter butzleri, this is it under the microscope. It causes persistent watery diarrhea]

[ using ultraviolet light and DNA electrophoresis it is seen how the DNA has moved, matching up to it's required weight]

[In this picture we see Staph. aureus growing pleasantly, displaying a yellow colouration . It is hard to believe that on the first day, this whole media was PINK in colour]

[Early stages of Staphylococcus aureus growth, here the pink color can still be seen]

Nice one dear, keep it, anyone skillful at his work will reap rich reward.

Amazing. IT is always to learn alot mostly practicals. Keep it up

Thanks willywealth

I could see you really had a great day.

Well. Great i learnt, yes!
But great it wasn't stressful? Nooo

This is some serious science going on here. lol

'Wehdone ma.

I like to spend time with the microscope myself
