Why red colour stimulates bull
You have been told many a thousand times that never expose red colour to a bull. You must have seen a bullfighter making the bull angry by weaving a red cloth. Have you wondered why red colour makes bull so angry and what will be your reaction if I told you that this is a baseless theory
You must be thinking that I am joking with you. Some of you would declare it wrong because you have this theory deeply settled in your mind. So let me spill the beans.
Actually bull or any other cattle can’t differentiate between colours. In other words they are colour blind to red colour. Cattle had lost their ability to differentiate among various colours to gain augmented night vision.
Knowing this you may be curious to know how a bullfighter stimulates the bull in front of him. Actually the bull used for game belongs to a very aggressive breed.
So what makes the bull to hit the red flag. Actually it’s the movement of the flag. The bull is so aggressive that a slight movement can make it angry. If you closely look the bullfighter you may notice that he remains still while weaving the flag.
The red flag used only for the traditional reasons.
