Who hates Mining minerals here? Is there anyone here who is not using a mobile phone? In this post I'm gonna educate you how important the minerals in the technological aspects of our daily lives. As you roam in different big cities and take a ride you'll witness the profound impact of mobile phones on society. Consistently, most passengers sitting are glued to their mobile phones; eyes are looking downward and fingers are scrolling through communication platforms from twitter, Instagram to Facebook.

The raw materials that are used in the manufacturing your of mobile phones come from a variety of minerals. The parts of a mobile phone which uses minerals are:

SCREEN
The mobile phone screens are made up of indium and tin minerals, which are abundant in China. The liquid crystal display (LCD) screen is made of aluminum silicate glass, a mixture of aluminium and silicon.

BATTERY
We all know that Lithium is the common mineral that is being used in the batteries of mobile phones. Also colt and manganese are used to make phone batteries.

ELECTRICAL ASPECT
There are wide range of elements and compounds that are used in the electronics of a mobile phone. The processor of the phone is made from pure silicon, which is strafe with elements such as phosphorus, antimony, arsenic, boron, indium or gallium. The micro-electrical components and wiring in the phone are mainly consist of copper, gold, and silver metals.

AMPLIFIERS, VIBRATORS AND RECEIVERS
The microphone and speaker of the mobile phones both contain magnets, which came from arsenic and gallium.
Gallium is a by-product of mining industry and processing of aluminium, zinc and copper. Gallium has mainly been used in amplifiers for mobile phones integrated circuits and also in LEDs for backlighting of computers, phones and televisions. Tungsten also finds use as weights for the vibrating motors within the phone. Neodymium minerals are used in magnets, which make mobile phone speakers vibrate.

CASING
Most mobile phone casings are both made of metals or plastic which mainly rely on carbon-based units to make the plastic covers. Magnesium compounds are one of the minerals in the mobile phone case.

These are the other component minerals that are mainly used in mobile phones. Now, imagine a world without Mining Industry? There are many misconception about the importance of mining and the impact it gives to the world. It is not mainly destructive. As what I've discussed on my 1st post about Mining a partner in sustainable development there you would know why Mining Industry play a vital role in the development of our technologies and in all aspects of our daily lives. Look at the things around you, most of it are products of Mining and think about the importance it gives to your daily living. STOP HATING MINING! YES TO RESPONSIBLE MINING!

THAT’S ALL FOR NOW. UPVOTE AND RESTEEM THIS IF YOU WANT TO HELP ME SPREAD THE TRUTH BEHIND MINING INDUSTRY. FOLLOW ME AND KEEP UPDATED FOR MORE EDUCATIONAL POSTS ABOUT RESPONSIBLE MINING.
