Coprolites are so great for inspiring the younger generation too and sparking an interest in fossils - we have given them as birthday gifts before! I first came across them I think in a game called 'plop trumps'. It's like a top trump set but each card is about a different type of animal poo graded on such qualities as 'hardness', 'size', 'smelliness', 'yuck factor' etc. Funny and very educational too. It is amazing what we can learn from fossils and pretty amazing that we get coprolites at all.
