Hello friends steemit, lately I am curious and unusual things, today I am going to talk about a meteorite that was obtained in the year 1920 in an African country called Namibia specifically in the Otjozondjupa region, in the HOBA farm, from there its name the METAORITO HOBA, the curious thing of this meteorite is that it weighs approximately 66 tons, it is the biggest and heaviest one that has been achieved in the earth and that has never moved from the place where it was discovered, it is also the piece of natural iron with greater size that is known in our planet to date.
This meteorite is composed of iron and nickel, was classified by specialists as an ataxite, this material is highly valued by meteorite collectors, another curious thing is that where it was found there was no visible crater that usually left large meteorites . A meteor of 7.04 grams currently costs 26 Euros, imagine the price of the 66 tons that HOA METEORITO weighs.
