Attende Domine - Jeanne Demessieux

This is my entry for Week 19 of the Secrets of Organ Playing Contest.

My name is James Flores and I'm playing Attende Domine by Jeanne Demessieux. This piece is based on the Catholic Gregorian chant for the season of Lent.

The Attende Domine work by Demessieux is from a collection of Twelve Choral-Preludes on Gregorian Chant Themes, Op. 8. Jeanne Demessieux was a female French organist, pianist, composer, pedagogue and was the first internationally acclaimed woman virtuoso. She was a student of Marcel Dupré and he frequently referred to Demessieux as his true successor , the greatest of all organists and declared her the most outstanding of all his pupils.

I hope you enjoy my rendition of this beautiful and solemn work.

Although it's a written out piece, I wish to be able to improvise like that...
