You have a duty as a guy, to your spouse to make her feel secure. Don’t exacerbate her insecurities. It is your moral obligation which requires practical wisdom. Don’t push her to the wall, because you don’t know what you might get. Don’t push her past her breaking point. We all have our limits and the extent at which we can bear things, so don’t assume she will always be cool with it. You might not be able to contain her fury. Don’t take her for granted; which is common in most relationships, because it shows you are assuming you can do whatever you like and she will always be there. That might turn out to be a costly assumption in the end. Don’t appreciate her when she is gone, do it now.
You don’t know the value of a thing until you lose it? No, I believe we know, we just never thought we might lose it; talking of taking things for granted.
This whole scenario sounds like a man dousing his relationship with petrol while he is playing with matches. Leke Alder said emotions are highly inflammable. Tell your lady friend to keep off your relationship, as you should keep off hers.
Sit down with your girlfriend and give her assurances. Keep this other woman out of your conversation lest it trigger her unhappiness and insecurity. Men sometimes like doing things to ladies which they would never accept too. Imagine if the girlfriend maintains a close relationship with her ex too; now best friend. Imagine her telling him all the things happening in her relationship, even the intimate details; her disappointment in the boyfriend, running to this male best friend for comfort and solace? Can you take it? I can imagine John’s blood running hot right now.
I always say that in a relationship, you need to be considerate and don’t start what you know you can’t finish; don’t do what you can’t accept on the flip side.
