One single neat solution, SEELE - Blockchain 4.0

The inability to handle large-scale performance, the inability of sharing assets and information across different networks and the inability to support varied business scenarios are a few of the known issues in blockchain technology.

To rectify these issues, the following have been implemented in one single neat solution known as “Seele”;

  • Usage of the Novel Neural Consensus Algorithm instead of the Byzantine Agreement(BA) Algorithm. This will improve the fault tolerance from 33% to 40% while ensuring that there will not be any loss of performance.

  • Usage of the Proposed Heterogeneous Forest (HF) Network architecture. This will provide good scalability for a wide range of scenarios but it will also provide good security isolation and perfect mechanisms resource.

  • Usage of Proposed Value Transport Protocol (VTP) and Value HTTP (VHTTP Protocol) in order to integrate with the internet resources and build infrastructure services and underlying protocols for the blockchain ecosystem.

  • Usage of Proposed TCP/UDP-based low-latency Quick Value Internet Connection (QVIC) protocol instead of the traditional TCP and UDP protocols. This new protocol will be able to adapt better to the blockchain network while meeting the requirements. In comparison with UDP, it will also increase the transmission efficiency by nearly 1 order of magnitude.

This single neat solution comprised of all of the above-stated solutions is known as “Seele”.

"Seele is "soul" in German, which refers not only to the human soul itself but also to the core of a person's ideas or actions. Seele implies our goal: to innovate new era of Value Internet."

So what are the Missions and Goals of Seele?

  • To be a promoter of standards, eco-preachers of Value Internet infrastructure and network builders.

  • Dedicated to building an operating system of Value Internet which will support developers in their testing, development and deployment processes. To provide them with a flexible integrated service design. As for customers and service providers, we hope to provide the most efficient channels of service and for users of data assets registration, the simplest channel for value transfer and exchange.

  • For the free and secure circulation of the resources within and across the global chain, Seele hopes to provide a powerful foundation platform and high-speed pipe.

  • To provide a solid agreement guarantee and integrate the essence of the layered model of Internet fundamental protocol for the interoperability of resources and the collaborative computing of heterogeneous networks.

  • To build new relations of production of Value Internet, promote the development of the blockchain in depth and release future productivity.

  • Rather than the usage of the centralized platform Seele hopes to use the token economy to encourage community contributions.

Any interesting design principles of Seele?

  • Open System Architecture (OSA): this principle is considered in Seele to provide the ability for customization, interoperability in fundamental protocols, upper-level applications and standards and meet portability requirements.

  • Resource Isolation: this will be achieved by adopting the partition hierarchical multi-chain mode and the blockchain as a business to avoid multi-service interference.

  • Efficiency First: Seele will provide an efficient and stable business platform which will also enable fast and accurate value transfer.

  • Experience First: Seele will provide full-scale multi-perspective development and service support for users through standardized communication protocols, module interface specifications, SDKs and IDEs, community support, developer conferences, industry application associations and others.

  • Dynamic Expansion: dynamic expansion of the blockchain network structure will be supported through Seele. This will help to achieve the dynamic planning and adjustment of computing resources and storage capacity for various business requirements.

What is the Novel Neural Consensus Algorithm?

As stated earlier the current algorithms used are not compatible with security, scalability and efficiency. This is also referred to as the “SSE Paradox”.

PoS, DPoS, PoW, Hashgraph are some of the few known algorithms used, but each do fail in certain areas pertaining to the SSE Paradox. For example, PoS meets the requirements of efficiency but fails to meet the requirements in scalability and security and whereas DPoS meets the requirements of scalability and efficiency but doesn’t have sufficient security etc. therefore it is clear that a finer algorithm that meets all 3 requirements is necessary.

This is where the Novel Neural Consensus Algorithm comes in to play. By incorporating the advantages along with solutions to the disadvantages of the current mainstream consensus algorithms used, Seele proposes a new ε-differential agreement (EDA). This will provide a strong robustness and increase the performance linear to the number of nodes. The more the number of nodes involved are increased then the higher the consensus efficiency. This also means the transaction confirmation time will be shorter as well.

What is the Heterogeneous Forest (HF) Network architecture?

Let’s consider current blockchain structures:

Bitcoin has only 7 TPS. Which means that applications need to wait for several blocks (recommended number of blocks are only 6) in order to ensure that the transaction remains in the chain.
Ethereum takes around 10-20 seconds to produce a new block. As a result of this, bottlenecks are created in throughput and performance.

You may also know that single-chain architectures can easily overpower the entire system with individual businesses. A prevalent example of this would be the hot game Crypto Kitties that overcrowded the entire Ethereum network. Because of this, many of the normal transactions were not processed. Most of the structures are closed network structures which do not allow cross-chain interaction between multiple platforms.

Therefore, as a solution to the above issues the Heterogeneous Forest (HF) Network architecture is introduced by Seele. It consists of different subnets and is developed to support effective security isolation, efficient use of computing and resources, cross-chain agreements between multiple chains, and meet different types of complex business needs in the real world.

Value Transport Protocol (VTP)

This is based on the Heterogeneous Forest (HF) Network architecture. The reason for introducing this protocol is to avoid the pain point that the value transmission between the blockchain networks cannot be effectively carried out. VTP is considered as a full set of transport protocol for the blockchain value network.

Quick Value Internet Connection (QVIC)

Instead of the traditional TCP and UDP protocols used by blockchain networks Seele has introduced QVIC Protocol to ensure that network jitters and latency issues are avoided when dealing with more connections. It is used to better adapt to the various needs of the network in the transport and application layers. It provides the integrity of TCP data transmission as well as holds the efficient features of the UDP protocol. One might say that it is a neat two in one solution.

Computing Integration

As you may know currently there is a high cost for the blockchain itself when it comes to chain storage of its files and data. The main challenge in such a situation is maintaining the privacy and ensuring security of such large amounts of data. As a solution to this key problem Seele has introduced a new type of technology that integrates off-chain storage. Internet storage solves the problem of blockchain storage.

Token

As stated before the higher the number of nodes involved, then the higher the consensus efficiency. Therefore, there should be a mechanism to encourage more user involvement in order to increase the number of nodes in the network. This will in turn improve network performance and security.
To achieve this, Seele uses the token mechanism to reward participated nodes with tokens and to charge transaction fees. Because the bandwidth and computing resources are consumed, a fee will be charged. This fee will be used to reward the consensus nodes.
