I know you are not supposed to say, but I am curious as to what this is.
It belonged to my grandfather although I have used it in my time as a shoemaker. It dates back to the time when shoes were only made of leather and you could make new shoes more comfortable using a tool like this. A must for people with bunions and other painful spots on their feet
I've seen devices to stretch the shoes, but the end was shaped more like the inside of the shoe. I've also seen, and used a few times, a shoe horn.
It's mainly for bunions
