The yellow manface beetle

Sharing one of my favourite photos from long ago. This little guy was crawling up a broken container one sunny afternoon when it caught my attention. Lighting was all natural and good. He seems to be posing for a shot so I gave it a few. He doesn't even seem to mind or care as I did my composing. Camera was only a Canon Powershot Pro1 which has now ended its service life sadly.

Five minutes later he decides to look for some greenery I guess.... and then off he goes.

Upon closer inspection you can see a horn like thingy on the belly side. And this was totally overlooked when I was shooting. It is so called a manface beetle or bug because on the top side of the beetle, looks like an impression on a man.
