ShowerThoughts #5: Polarized Thinking

in #showerthoughts6 years ago

Ever wonder why some discussions between people just can never come to the same wavelength? Maybe the frame of discussion in our mind is just like a polarizer, you know, those things that you can see through only at certain angles.

Sort:

Attractor fields of consciousness. People intuitively understand and express it as "I resonate with that person," "we're on the same wavelength." It's something that fluctuates and evolves through life experience, but deep-set elements of our worldview don't usually change overnight.

Some parts of our frequency are so fundamental that they change little through our entire lifetime. It's worth recognizing when a conversation with a certain person will just not be fruitful because of the wide expanse between our particular fields of awareness.

recently i had the weird feeling that a lot of misunderstanding in communication has a lot to do with how we perceive time (and how it's implied in conversation).

Intrigued by that comment, Kevin, care to elaborate? How's our perception of time got to do with miscommunication.

Me hago esa pregunta siempre, es lamentable y triste, cuando esas discusiones, rompen el grupo familiar y de amigos, un fuerte y cariñoso abrazo @etherpunk.

Yep sadly
