Camping is a great way to get away from all the electronics and technology and spend some personal time with nature. This is a great way to build a working relationship with the kids. Teach them responsibility and help them become a little more hardened to weather and a little more rugged in general. Camping can be a little pricey when you’re first buying your equipment like a tent or sleeping bags for the family. The good news is once you buy that, you just gotta invest in gas and food.

Car camping would probably be the easiest way to get your foot in the door. It’s also wise to have your first camping trip with someone that’s done it before so you and your kids don’t freeze or starve- but the cool thing about car camping is you can always hop back into the car and head to the closest McDonalds!
