No, I never tried drawing in the dark but I have done drawing with my eyes closed. I bought a book called 'Drawing with the Right Side of the Brain'. One of the exercises in this book is drawing with your eyes closed. It's really fun and the results are surprisingly good.
Your results of drawing in the dark are somewhat random but so nice too :)
I have this book too... Excellent resource!
