in progress oil painting on canvas 🎨
hi , already i have some unfinished paintings which i'm working on them ,
i usually start several oil paintings at the same time, because some of them needs one or two days to get dry so i can start to paint another layer ,
by this method :D i save my time , and I can assign a painting for each day
for this one i'm not sure what will be the result ! , the first day of working i wanted a surreal portrait .
i wanna do some surreal portraits by oils .
are you satisfy with gesso ?
i'm not sure about it , or maybe this time i'm using a bad gesso , it gets like plastic ,
before i used to work with gesso on my canvas but it was nice , made a good surface ,
but this time it's annoying a bit .
today when i started to work on it i realized it gets better ,even after 2 days oil colors are not 100% dry .maybe need more days to dry completely. HMMmm
it's the second layer , it needs a lot of work to finish .

I am loving it so far. Gesso can be tricky. I just saw a steemit artist the other day share how she begins her oils with acrylic which fascinated me and I am going to give it a go when I'm out in the studio to see what sort of quality of layering it will give. Looks great can't wait to see more.
thank you donna , acrylics need some experience to work with , i rarely use it , only for fluid paintings, or alla prima , it get dry so fast , also i can't wait to see yours <3
