What I Never Knew About SmartNodes
SmartNodes are decision makers on the SmartCash blockchain. They are servers that run SmartCash wallets, and lock transactions with instantpay. A SmartNode is required to have a minimum of 10,000 SMART as collateral, a dedicated Virtual Private Server, and must run 24 hours a day with no connection loss. SmartNodes receive 10% of the block reward on every block produced on the blockchain.
SmartNodes make InstantPay a reality. This is why SmartCash is superior to Bitcoin in terms of transactions speed
SmartCash hive team is not officially involved in the provision of SmartNode hosting services.
SmartNode shared hosting is possible (can be setup with less than 10,000 SMART) however its very high risk, because it requires you trusting another party with your funds
When you host your own SmartNode you keep control of your private keys.
