As the leaves are now in, here are a few “dated” pics from my last week’s hike, when the forest was still clear... with full sunlight hitting the forest floor... as I enter the shadow of a looming Leviathan...

An “X” drop-shadow right in the center of a natural triangle... Geometry Challenge anyone?

Staying with the Geometry theme... this 'lil fresh-water snail is making a living off of morning dew cuz he’s far from the lake. Nice Golden Ratio though... worked-out half a billion years ago. This guy’s alive... I checked.

Massive quartz vein bursting through the moss... or the moss slowly engulfing miniature icebergs of stone..

Communication crystals, had thoughts there
would be some quartz around and what a nice
big chunk! ''miniature icebergs of stone'' :-)

By chance did you have a compass and check
directions of split rock? It would be so cool to
see these places on equinoxes and solstices.
Would it be accessible on winter solstice?
