Space Cadet

Feet far from the ground, I dont know if I'll remember how to walk. I don't know the last time I touched earth or if I'll even recognize it. It's just a glowing ball of vibrant color from this timeless, directionless, no rules, nothing I float through. I just want to float forever. I know they're trying to reach me and tell me things I disconnected from long ago, so I ignore the calls and stay up here just a little bit longer, until life on Earth is such a foreign concept, I've become afraid of it. With a reckless disregard for the hazards of this place, I fl myself struggling to survive. And I'm less scared of the air that's about to run out than I am of coming down.
