White-Lip Tree Viper
The White-Lip Tree Viper from South East Asia.
A beautiful dangerous but non lethal viper that lives in low bushes.
A funny story. I worked with Dr Tony Phelps at the Fitzsimons Snake Park in Durban South Africa in the 1980s.
His first encounter with one of these snakes was when he was trekking through the jungle in South East Asia in the 1960s, a White-lip tree Viper bit him and attached itself on his cheek as he pushed his way through thick jungle!! Very painful
Oooh Dr Phelps must have a hard time then. Wow looks pretty evil haha
Luck for Dr Phelps this is not a highly dangerous snake.
Cool!
