Snapchat: launch of sponsored stories for brands
Snapchat is still developing its advertising arsenal for (large) brands with the announcement of the "Promoted Stories" format. This new format makes it possible to propose a Story on the home screen of Stories and guarantees an important visibility. They combine the native format of a story with the reach of a sponsored site.
They are composed of 3 to 10 Snaps and its designed for the mobile. They are displayed in full screen with sound, and are highlighted on the page bringing together the different Stories of friends and brands. Only one "location" is available per day and per country, which ensures a premium format for advertisers. Promoted Stories allow you to refer to a website, app, or article. Snapchat says that the upcoming redesign will leave an important place for this new advertising format. The first brands to use the format are HBO and ASOS. The latter also broadcast its advertising on France on the occasion of Black Friday.
