Don't you forget about me - He - Short Story Serie - Part I

He loved her, of course, he loved her. He was the whole flight thinking of how he was going to said it, of course, he never expected that she was there waiting for him, he didn't ask, because the pain of seeing her and then having to leave would have been giant, was giant.

He never thought that he would fall in love like that, every time he walked away, he thought that could easily forget her, how deluded he was, his subconscious sensed those moments and sent him periods of up to a month dreaming with her; Do you know what is a month dreaming every night with the same person? that's someone who not only got into your skin, but also deep into your bones. He tried everything "New love drives out old love", walk away and not talk to her, even treat her distant and even bad, but nothing worked.

She was so sweet and loving, it didn´t matter what he did, if she believed that he still loved her she was always going to be there, she was going to continue treating him with love, that's the way she was, stubborn with them like nobody had ever been. She was his guardian angel, always wanted to take care of him and keep him away from all those things that were tormenting his life.

He wanted to leave, he wanted to leave and let all those torments behind and finally give her all the love that she deserved, for God, loved her with madness and knew that she deserved heaven and much more. But he did not count that his problems will follow him until he crossed the border, he didn't count on the fact that the dream of fairies that he always believed turn to a living nightmare.

All his life had been a nightmare, he always waited for that moment where everything cleared up and finally he would touch a little bit of happiness and good fortune; but apparently, God didn´t have those plans for him. He did not want to involve her, he would die if something happened to her.

He spent all the flight thinking an excuse to tell her, but he knew that whatever he said would only make her want to stay with him even more, helping and supporting him. So he took the best decision, the cleanest and most painful, to lie to her.

He was about to step back his decision , when he saw that pretty banner - suppressing a smile- saw that she was crying with happiness - and now suppressing his own sadness- having to hold back the urge to hug her so hard , showing her that he would never let her go, and to see her crystalline eyes and tell her.

─I do not love you anymore.─

See his eyes now cry of sadness, see the banner fall and his face of inexpressiveness, made him also broke his heart in a thousand pieces.
