A Call For Support - The Crypto Renaissance || A @sndbox crowdfunding campaign on Fundition

Hello Steemian Friends,

Yes, it’s been a while since our last written post as Sam is heavily involved in making vlogs for @dlive and their ‘DLive World Cup 2018’ campaign. Yet, once he recovers from the World Cup fever (15th of July), we’ll be back to our normal routine. Well, sort of, there will be some structure, but we will be posting spontaneously a.k.a when we have the time.

Anyway, the main reason for this post is not to talk about us, but rather about @sndbox. We are huge fans of Sndbox and what they have achieved through the power of the Steem blockchain. Now, we’re not technically inclined at all with all this crypto start-up and blockchain activity! Yet, when we read things like being able to fund and create a community Steem Park with Steem or more recently using their knowledge and influence to organise and develop a Summer Camp to help grow and guide Steemians on Steemit, we thought these guys are too good to be true! However, this is exactly what they have done; day in and day out they continue to create immense value on the Steem blockchain. We are sure and we know there are loads of other amazing accounts out there too. It is true that the more reputable accounts on Steemit earn the lion’s share of the Reward Pool every day (excluding the fact if you use bid bots etc.), but even the big accounts need a help in hand or more visibility when they are asking for help. You might be saying, ‘What are you talking about @travelling-two?’

Promoting Steem and Steemit

We all do our small part to spread the word of Steem and Steemit to our friends, family and maybe people we randomly meet. However, @sndbox and the founders behind the project: @hansikhouse and @voronoi take great pride in promoting Steem and Steemit in all forms and ways they can through art, culture and media. For us, we must be honest with ourselves and say that we are very subtle about promoting the platform as not everyone (in our circle) is “on-board” with cryptocurrency and therefore unfortunately, there is no reason in trying to promote a platform linked to crypto. Also, we don’t want to be one of those nagging people. Yet, this is what we like about @sndbox as they aren’t those type of people (or at least they don't seem like it), but they promote Steem or Steemit effectively. It is not with the traditional push factors of marketing, but rather pulling (and luring) in those who are interested in a wider topic or discussion. Meanwhile, they state and educate the fact that this was all possible due to the blockchain, which is linked to cryptocurrency and more specifically Steem.

The Crypto Renaissance

The Crypto Renaissance will be a public exhibition that will run from the 20th of July until the 15th of August in New York City. The free exhibition will open to the general public and will demonstrate how the power of the Steem blockchain can enhance and provide the tools and resources for creative professionals to excel in their work. This is @sndbox promoting Steem through their strength as creative artists and facilitators of crypto knowledge. It is a chance to capture the minds and hearts of others from crypto enthusiasts to crypto virgins to learn about the Steem blockchain, the not-so-scary world of crypto/blockchain, and the endless possibilities within the Steemit ecosystem.

Like we mentioned earlier, even the more reputable accounts on Steemit need your help. If you are on Steemit to try and make a quick buck then our call for support will fall on deaf ears, but if you're here to provide value, connect with like-minded people, build a community and make a difference then we're speaking directly to you. If you have read up to here then it's more than likely we have your attention. The Crypto Renaissance exhibition in New York will cost $10,000 to run over four weeks or so and @sndbox has already secured the venue with a $5,000 deposit. However, a house is not a home without personal possessions, so an empty event space will still be an empty event space without content. @sndbox envision an exhibition gallery with different works and information from various Steem-based apps and projects. They hope to hold public workshops to showcase the creative possibilities with Steem. Yet, this can all be possible with your help. @sndbox is running a crowdfunding campaign on @fundition and their target is to reach 5,000 SBDs and we know it can be possible with the collective help of everyone! They are already achieved around 35% of their target, maybe a bit more or less after this post as it is also dependent on the Steem/SBD price too!

For the next month, all of @sndbox's payouts from their posts will go towards their crowdfunding campaign, so even if you upvote their post ONCE a day you will be contributing to the success of this exhibition. You might be wondering why are we doing this and/or what we have to gain? Honest truth...nothing. Truly nothing. If you don't believe us, ask them yourselves.They never asked us or anyone for that matter to promote for them. It is just in our nature. A spontaneous random act (post) of kindness (#RAK) and a message of support! When we are presented with an idea or a project that could help others or a way to promote a platform that has given us new friends, connections and communities then we want to help in any shape or form we can. If we have the ability to write a post and spread the message to a few more eyes and capture a few more upvotes/donations for them then this is what we are gaining - satisfaction and a smile. That is all! For the payout, whatever this post makes in SBDs, all of it will be donated to @sndbox. We know the donation will go towards the running costs of the exhibition. For the Steem we gain, 100% will be powered up to our account to upvote future quality content. It's the circle of the Steemit ecosystem. If there is a small catch, it's that we hope further down the line when we have a project in mind, there will be a couple of Steemians like ourselves who see the value in someone else's project or dream and want to help them achieve it! We can all live this life a little bit happier with a help in hand.
