It's a bit too bright for me. I know little about photography to make a well thought comment. But I can related on the part where you experimented with layers and colors. Something I also do with my own art.
Yes,we all have different tastes, and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The colors represent my life at the beach where pink and green abound on prints and as fabric. :-)
