Social media attention baiting is exhausting.

Here's an example of fake bullshit that gets pushed into my feeds.

Google "Sydney Sweeney Power Rangers" or "Sydney Sweeney Red Power Ranger" and you'll find absolutely nothing.

You'll find nothing in any of the Hollywood newspapers.

This "story" is entirely made up and amounts to nothing more than an image and, the claim that this is just "wishful thinking" -- though of course, most people will absolutely see this and think that Sydney is going to be the next Red Power Ranger.

It's just a matter of producing bait that is designed to get you to click and comment.

It's a fairly simple formula:

Current trending celebrity + popular franchise with a passionate fanbase + bonus points for the celebrity being a hot young woman with great boobs = ATTENTION!

Either this post excites the fanbase or it pisses them off, but either way it's virtually guaranteed engagement.

I wish it was possible to get this crap out of my feeds, but I've tried every mechanism and none has worked even to the slightest degree, so my options at this point are simply to give up on social media or continue to tolerate it and just keep trying to ignore this stuff when it comes up... though I find that increasingly impossible to do.
