10 Days Busking in Chania, Crete. Smartphone Addiction....

This last 10 days I have done my own kind of Social Experiment, with shocking results.
Well, actually, not that shocking at all.

In the last 10 days of playing, I've played around 40 hours. During that time, the total
number of Smartphone users that I have convinced to stop is just 4!
It is almost impossible to reach anyone who is on their phone, because they are simply
not present.
I've been watching us for 5 1/2 Years as a street artist, playing in 500 Places, in 30 Countries.
Here being the 500th Place.
It is so unbelievably sad to see what these phones have done to us. Every bar, cafe, hostel, street
I go to, there is almost zero interaction, or possibility of real life interaction, for the sake of what??
For the sake of updating the Self, for the sake of a 4 inch screen, for the sake of Facebook.
It is truly madness.
