I loved "The Lobster" by the same director. Lo-fi sci-fi is one of my favourite genres! I've seen the trailer to "Killing of a sacred deer" and that convinced me that I'd need to be in the right frame of mind to watch it. It's on my must watch list. I'm glad the film left an impression on you.
Yes, they both are tremendous, I've seen each 3x I think. Lanthimos' new movie this year is The Favourite, haven't seen it yet.
Oh! Going to add that to my must watch list.
