Gambling A Curse or Social issue: What is your opinion?

Dear steemians, the good thing about this platform is that you have liberty to say whatever you like except racism, hate speech or bad words about religion. It's alright as we must follow the basic ethics and the basic ethics are respect peoples, religion, opinion, and race. This is I think the great philosophy of steemit community.

Today my topic is playing gamble or bet. Is this a social issue or curse?

In my two cents opinion It's have both

Many people will may disagree with me and few will agree. This is beauty of this platform. You can express anything in a respectful way. Maybe some one may be inspired from my message.

First of all I would like to tell you that I am not against earning money. Indeed money makes your life easy and comfortable. We all deserve comfort in our life. But some times we select wrong track to become rich.

Wrong way doesn't move you towards right direction. Remember there is no shortcut to success. You can achieve success couple of times by shortcut but you can't achieve success all the time. To strengthen your position you need hard work. Some people thinks Gambling/betting is the right and easiest way to get rich. Personally I don't agree with this concept. Neither my state laws nor my religion allowed me to do gambling.

Beside the restriction imposed by my religion and my state gambling itself have social issues. Personally I am against those things which have a bad impact on society. Majority of people do gambling/betting to become rich but they forget the simple proverb

"Greed is curse"

Instead of getting rich they lose every thing which they earn after hard work. It creates a bad impact on their children. I have seen many people who lost every thing due to gambling habbits. Their social life become disturb. If you and your family suffer due to gambling it's a big social issue. It's not all about the people who do gambling. Gambler not only destroy his life but he also destroys the life of his family and kids.

I am not against the collecting money. But it should be in decent way. Do you noticed that how many casino closed due to bankruptcy, but definitely you will see many people around you destroyed their life due to bet/gambling isn't it?

What is the main reason that gambling give you loss all the times? The reason is simple.In gambling you have less probability of winning than loosing. If you don't believe just check out the stats yourself. I can't share the odd stats due to copy right issues. you can can click here to check the odds.

From these odds you can easily understand there is no probability available in any event that is offering you atlest 50% or more than 50% chance of winning. whereas casino have more than 50% chances in all events.

Remember before starting business you see pros and cons of business. I am damn sure you will never select the business which gives you more cons than pros. Now my question why you do gamble? Is it worth to play gamble. You are not only destroying yourself but also playing with your children future

Is it worth to invest which doesn't give you fair chance. My straight answer is No. What is your opinion?
