The Southeast Asia Blockchain Summit
Asia has always been known to adapt to technological changes easily, taking systems created by different regions of the world and modifying it to fit their various economies.
The creator of Bitcoin and in essence the whole of the crypto and blockchain space, Satoshi Nakamoto claims to be from Japan, one of the fastest growing technology haven on the planet.
With that said, it suddenly makes sense why blockchain technology has been readily received in the continent and why the blockchain summit going down in south-east Asia is important, why it is gaining so much ground and attention.
The South-East Asia Blockchain Summit 2018 is a networking and learning ground for stakeholders, CEOs and users of various blockchain products worldwide to meet. It is being held in Jakarta, Indonesia, a country that has seen a steady rise of cryptocurrency users.
The summit hopes to explore the possibility of using blockchain technology to disrupt old standard industries such as healthcare, financial services, etc.
The event is scheduled for two days, Nov 3rd and Nov 4th, 2018, lasting 18 hours.
So far, over 1000+ attendees, investors, and innovators have been registered for the event.

Speakers
Several CEOs and heads of several blockchain projects will be present during the 2-day summit.
Mark Tan from Wanchain
The head of SEA business development on Wanchain, Mark Tan is going to be present. Wanchain is a proof of stake blockchain project that is delivering cross-chain service.
Wanchain enables the transfer of data, information, value, between different blockchains through it's protocols.
Wanchain has already successfully connected with the ethereum blockchain and by December 2018, will be connecting with the bitcoin blockchain.
The value that Wanchain enables includes creating an avenue for decentralized exchanges that have different coin pairings and ICOs that don't necessarily need to be on a specific blockchain.
Wanchain is looking to become the biggest cross-chain platform out there.
Seth Melamed from QUOINE
Seth Melamed is the current head of business development in QUOINE.
QUOINE is a blockchain project that is working on solving the liquidity problem we have in cryptocurrency today.
This is achieved by having a massive database consisting of prices and orders from different exchanges, then providing said prices and orders for users worldwide through their new exchange platform Liquid.
Customers from different countries are able to see prices in their own native country currency and when transactions are carried out, FX conversion is done in the background, before the trade is executed between both parties.
QUOINE is the company which creates QASH, the crypto that powers the whole of the QUOINE ecosystem.
Oracle-d
A project conceived an brought to life by CEO Matt Starkey and CTO Dylan Leighton, Oracle-d is a project that leverages on the massive community that steemit has, to provide different clients the possibility to reach out to potential customers.
It provides an avenue for clients to utilize the growing global community within steemit to push their products forward.
The steem blockchain is given high priority on Google and this enables clients to pass their messages, their products and their ideas out to the whole world via oracle-d.

Waoh, this is a gathering of the big wigs in the crypto industry. I hope to see a report of how the meeting goes on or possibly a recap of it. It coincide with SIN2, I might want to catch up with it on Bloomberg but that might be possible anymore.
